Skip is a native of Minneapolis and St Paul, Minnesota.
He has extensive industry experience including machining, design
and manufacture of complex fluidic controls. He has specific expertise
in mills and lathe operation, CNC machining, metallurgy and heat
treatment processes.
He is a retired U.S. Army pilot with 24 years of
total service; with most of that service with a Special Operations
unit with the “Night Stalkers” of the 160th Special
Operations Aviation Regiment.. He has logged over 2800 fight hours
as a Pilot, Maintenance Test Pilot and Examiner, and held positions
as Component Repair Officer, Quality Control Officer, Executive
Officer and as a MH-60K (Glass Cockpit Blackhawk) Test and Evaluation
Project Officer.
Shortly after his military career, in May of 1999,
Skip was hired by Survival Engineering Inc. as the Production Manager.
He quickly advanced to the position of Operations Director. While
at Survival Engineering, Skip re-organized the production department
implementing lean manufacturing principals, updated the quality
control system, and designed and put into production a new product
line. His management and guidance have reduced production costs
and increased margins, and given Survival Engineering Inc, a name
of quality and service in the inflatables industry.
Ron is a graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University
with a Bachelor of Science degree. Please join me in welcoming Skip
to the CIRCOR Aerospace team and help support him as we transition
manufacturing to the Ronkonkoma, New York facility.
